API Use

API Access

SETALABS grants the User a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use the API in accordance with these Terms, the terms of the selected pricing plan, and applicable law.

Access to the API is provided after the User has registered an account and obtained a valid API key.

The User may use the API to integrate the functionality and data provided by SETALABS into the User’s own websites, applications, information systems, and other software products, provided that such use complies with these Terms.

API Key

The API key is confidential information and is intended solely for use by the User and software systems owned or controlled by the User.

The User must keep the API key secure and take reasonable measures to prevent its disclosure or unauthorized use.

The User may not transfer, publish, disclose, or otherwise make the API key available to third parties, except where expressly permitted by SETALBS.

All requests and other actions performed using the User’s API key will be deemed to have been performed by the User unless otherwise determined by SETALBS.

If an API key is lost or compromised, or if the User suspects any unauthorized use of the API key, the User must immediately stop using the affected key, where reasonably possible, and notify SETALBS.

SETALBS may block, replace, or revoke an API key where necessary to protect the security of the Services or the User’s account.

Use Restrictions

When using the API and other Services, the User must not:

  • use the Services in violation of applicable law;

  • take any action that may disrupt or adversely affect the stability, security, or normal operation of the Services or SETALBS infrastructure;

  • circumvent or attempt to circumvent technical restrictions, security mechanisms, pricing plan limitations, request limits, or other access controls;

  • create excessive or abnormal load on SETALBS infrastructure, including through automated requests;

  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, servers, systems, accounts, API keys, or data;

  • interfere with the operation of the API or any other component of the Services;

  • use the API or data obtained through the API in a manner that infringes the rights or legitimate interests of third parties;

  • use the Services to distribute malware or spam, engage in fraudulent activity, or conduct any other unlawful activity;

  • conceal, alter, or falsify information intended to identify the source of API requests;

  • use multiple accounts or API keys for the purpose of circumventing applicable limits or other restrictions.

Pricing Plan Limitations

The scope and conditions of API use are determined by the pricing plan selected by the User and may include limitations on the number of API requests, request frequency and rate, available API methods, data sources, functionality, usage period, number of API keys, and other technical or commercial parameters.

SETALBS may apply request rate and volume limits (rate limiting), quotas, temporary request blocking, and other technical measures necessary to enforce pricing plan conditions, prevent abuse, and ensure the stable operation of the Services.

The current parameters and limitations of a specific pricing plan are specified on the SETALBS website, in the User’s account, or in an individual commercial offer.

Transfer and Resale of Access

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing with SETALBS, the User may not:

  • transfer the API key or direct access to the API to third parties;

  • sell, resell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise provide third parties with independent access to the Setalabs API;

  • allow third parties to use the API under the User’s API key as a standalone API access service;

  • use the API primarily to create a service that reproduces or resells access to the SETALBS API without substantial additional functionality.

These restrictions do not prohibit the User from creating and providing its customers with its own websites, applications, online stores, information systems, or other software products that use the SETALBS API as one of their components, provided that the API key is not disclosed or transferred to end users and such users are not provided with independent direct access to the SETALBS API.

Certain pricing plans or individual agreements may expressly permit resale or the provision of access to third parties. In such cases, the terms of the applicable pricing plan or individual agreement will apply.

Data and Third-Party Sources

Some information available through the API may be obtained from third-party sources, including marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, data providers, and other third-party services.

SETALBS does not own or operate such third-party services and does not control their operation, content, or availability.

Unless expressly provided otherwise in a separate agreement, SETALBS does not guarantee the absolute completeness, accuracy, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability of data obtained from third-party sources.

The scope, structure, format, and availability of such data may change as a result of changes made by third-party sources, including changes to their interfaces, APIs, access rules, technical restrictions, or discontinuation of the relevant information or services.

SETALBS may modify, temporarily restrict, or discontinue support for certain data sources, API methods, or functionality if their continued provision becomes impossible or materially difficult for technical, legal, or other objective reasons.

Suspension or Restriction of Access

SETALBS may temporarily restrict or suspend the User’s access to the API, in whole or in part, including without prior notice where necessary to protect the Services, other users, or third parties, in the following circumstances:

  • violation of these Terms;

  • violation of applicable law;

  • a threat to the security or stability of the Services;

  • detection of suspicious, fraudulent, or abnormal activity;

  • actual or suspected compromise of an API key;

  • exceeding applicable technical limits or abuse of the API;

  • attempts to circumvent pricing plan restrictions or technical security mechanisms;

  • the need to perform urgent maintenance, resolve technical failures, or respond to emergency situations;

  • where continued access may result in the infringement of third-party rights or violation of requirements imposed by third-party data providers.

Where the nature of the violation allows it to be remedied and there is no immediate threat to the security or stability of the Services, SETALBS may notify the User of the violation and provide a reasonable period of time to remedy it.

Access may be restored once the circumstances that resulted in the restriction or suspension have been resolved.

Termination of Access

In the event of a material, repeated, or intentional violation of these Terms, abuse of the API, attempts to circumvent technical restrictions, unlawful use of the Services, or actions that create a material risk to SETALBS, other users, or third parties, SETALBS may terminate the User’s access to the API and other Services.

In such cases, the User’s API keys may be revoked or blocked.

Termination of access resulting from the User’s violation of these Terms does not, by itself, entitle the User to a refund. Any eligibility for a refund will be determined in accordance with the Setalabs Refund Policy, the terms of the applicable pricing plan, and applicable law.

Termination of access does not release the User from any obligations incurred prior to the effective date of termination.
